We had the best stay in Scotland at this lovely guest house. Vivienne, the host, made us feel so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and stylish, and the location was convenient with nearby bus stops, supermarkets, and eateries. Highly recommend!

Comfortable room and free wi-fi so I could work.

Warm and helpfull staff, excelent breakfast, nice room although a little cosy, but as expected in a family guest house. Everything was tidy and clean. The location is a 5 min bus ride from The Royal Mile and Princess Street.

Great location, easy access to downtown via local buses, short walk to touristy areas, and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms with excellent hotel facilities and lovely breakfast served.

Not one thing.

Firstly the hosts were a pleasure to deal with. They answered all my emails accurately and giving all information that i needed. They even took the trouble of finding out travel details from Inverness to Edinburgh for us. Thanks so much. Secondly the rooms were beautiful and well kept and a pleasure to come back to after the whole day of travelling. Thanks for the microwave it was a boon with the kids. Also the toffees in the room were excellent.

We wished that it was closer to the Royal Mile or at least in the route of the city sight seeing bus. but luckily there was a bus stop 10 seconds from the hotel. Also there was no choice of hot breakfast, even eggs were not done to order. Baked beans or hash browns were out of question! The bathroom was so small that it was difficult to even turn around. No complaints about the amenities though.

The host was like the coolest, happiest lady ever! The guest house was just a short stroll or quick bus ride to the city center. The breakfast was SUPER satisfying and the breakfast room had such a chill vibe. The whole place had this vintage charm that totally rocked.

We loved the warm welcome from the owner and the cozy room. The breakfast was also pretty good. The fact that the bus stop was right outside the hotel was very helpful, and the free parking was a bonus.

Our romantic escape was not as private as we had hoped. The walls were incredibly thin, and we could hear everything that was happening in the adjoining rooms and corridors.

The breakfast spread was delicious, with a wide variety of options including fresh fruit and yogurt. The room itself was beautifully appointed, with all the amenities I could ask for, including ironing facilities, heating, and air conditioning. I also appreciated the in-room safe and tea and coffee facilities. This place truly exceeded my expectations and provided me with an enhanced level of comfort.

We loved everything about our stay at Sherwood Guest House - helpful owner, USB plug sockets, perfect location, tasty breakfast, spacious and beautiful room.

The staff was very nice. If we had any questions (or even help with parking) they were more than happy to help out. The breakfast was very good and the fruit was especially good.
